- Although our hair extensions are real, it is not receiving nutrients from the scalp like your own hair. Heat is your hair extensions biggest enemy. The more you use on it, the shorter the life span of your hair. We cannot guarantee that the hair will remain silky if you use the blow dry, flat iron, or curling iron.
- At bedtime, we highly recommend that you control the hair --braid, wrap or ponytail your hair together to prevent tangling. This will save time that would be spent untangling the hair the next morning.
- When shampooing the hair, always shampoo it stroking in a downward motion. Use your fingers in a horizontal motion between wefts to clean your scalp. When rinsing, do the same to be sure that all the shampoo and conditioner residues are shampooed out.
- If you perm, tint, bleach or cellophane the hair, you do it at your own risk. We do not guarantee any hair that has been chemically altered. If you must chemically alter it, then be sure to do a test strand first. This will allow you to test how the hair will withstand chemical application.
Closures & Frontals
Due to the delicate nature of closures, it is important to take extra care to prevent damage in the from of balding. Balding is when your closure begins to have a spot where the hairs have come out of the base creating a balding appearance. This can be caused by, but not limited to, excessive tugging, brushing/combing, scratching with fingernails or foreign objects, applying product directly on the closure, rough handling, or vigorous washing. Closures while mimicking a real scalp, they cannot be treated like a real scalp. You must handle with care. Each hair is individually ventilated into the base, knotted and secured with a strong adhesive. Based on the construction of a closure, you should comb/brush the hair from the ends, working your way up to the root while hold the hair at the root to prevent tension. Hair loss on closures is relatively easy because it is not wefted like extensions. Improper care of your closure will cause balding and unfortunately there is no way to fix this.To minimize shedding in your closure or frontal it is recommended you seal your knots.
